Provide Evidence-Based Intervention (EBI) curriculum through recurring groups to children, teens, young adults, and parents/families. Provide training to school personnel, other professional staff, and community members in addition to conducting and developing outreach activities in the community.
Accountabilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Plans and implements the drug and alcohol prevention services programs by arranging recurring group sessions using evidence-based curriculum, single service activities and outreach events.
2. Obtain the LifeSkills Training within the first 90 days of hired to begin the implementation of the EBI with fidelity.
3. Conducts direct services to schools, community groups, faith-based organizations, and others.
4. Meet number requirements of proposed groups, students and events as listed in annual RFI to SCA. (Single services-10; recurrent services LST-10; Education Services-12; and multi-agency collaboration meetings-12.
5. Reports data from services to the PA Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs via the WITS system online daily/weekly.

6. Report monthly data by the 1st of each month to Supervisor to include in the narrative report due to our funders.
7. Maintains data to provide outcomes through evaluation tools provided by the county Drug and Alcohol Commission and the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs, the curricula measurement tools or other PA approved measurement applications.
8. Maintains a good professional relationship with the county Drug and Alcohol Commission and attends quarterly Lancaster prevention provider meetings. 9. Prepares monthly report on activities.
10. Attend community fairs to promote the prevention of Alcohol, Tobacco and other Drugs (ATOD).
11. Be available to work before and after normal work hours to participate in community outreach efforts to include weekends.
12. Recruits new clients and networks through community outreach as needed.
13. Attends applicable training throughout the year to remain current on prevention practices and trends. (Minimum of 12 hours in addition to any training mandated by the county D&A commission).
14. Maintains data through curriculum pre- and post-tests to provide quarterly program outcomes.
15. Work closely and effectively with Nuestra Clinica Education and Prevention Services staff, Nuestra Clinica Behavioral Health, local, county and state agencies to ensure all client referrals provided are follow through to appropriately obtain supportive services.
16. Adheres to strict code of conduct for SACA/Nuestra Clinica services profession.
17. Answer clinic phones and relay accurate messages as needed.
18. Participate in program coverage as needed.
19. Participate in weekly staff meetings.
20. Perform other tasks as required by the program contractor and immediate supervisor.
Position Specifications
Education, Training or Certification:
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
One to two years related experience and / or training in drug and alcohol prevention.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, suppliers and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions, furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving variables and the need to deal with exceptions and changes in a variety of situations.
Certificates, licenses, registrations:
None required.
Other skills and abilities, including computers, tools, equipment, technical knowledge:
Basic Microsoft Office computer skills; ability to speak in front of an audience; valid driver’s license and vehicle; Act 33 / 34, child abuse, criminal history background and FBI clearances for work with youth and schools; knowledge and training in mandatory reporting.
